This wine is a 50-50 blend of barbera and nebbiolo (the variety used here to produce Barolo wine) grapes grown on the estate's vineyards and carefully selected during the harvest.
Tasting notes Bright ruby-red with a crystal-clear glow and faint orange edges. Its well-balanced bouquet is a nice blend of flowery and fruity aromas, and of light spices with a rose, violet and vanilla finish. Fresh and lively on the palate, it has nicely-balanced acid, tannins and alcohol, and is soft and elegant, with stuffing and length; overtones of just-pressed raspberries and red currants. Pairs well with big roast meat dishes and hard, mature cheeses. |
